I've been
making garb since I first joined the Society for Creative
Anachronism about 18 years ago. I learned from Duchess Seonaid ni
Fhionn when I first started and have been learning from all types
of sources ever since. One thing that I wasn't very good at was
constructing a pattern from scratch and making it work the first
time. I finally learned how to combine my sewing skills with my
computer skills to create a program to help create a reasonably
accurate body shape pattern. I don't know how to put it on this
site for you to download it, but I will be happy to e-mail it to
you. It is a document and a spread sheet that run in Microsoft
Works. This is a tabard
that I made for my husband and the drawing that inspired
