Garb Making

I've been making garb since I first joined the Society for Creative Anachronism about 18 years ago. I learned from Duchess Seonaid ni Fhionn when I first started and have been learning from all types of sources ever since. One thing that I wasn't very good at was constructing a pattern from scratch and making it work the first time. I finally learned how to combine my sewing skills with my computer skills to create a program to help create a reasonably accurate body shape pattern. I don't know how to put it on this site for you to download it, but I will be happy to e-mail it to you. It is a document and a spread sheet that run in Microsoft Works.

This is a tabard that I made for my husband and the drawing that inspired it.
